Meet the Team
Meet the Owners ~ the Willard’s
On March 1, 2022 the motel was purchased by Shelley and Blake via their business TipInn, LLC are the 100% Owners. They hail from Okotoks, Alberta, Canada. What brought them to Tipton? In the fall of 2021, they visited Blake’s Daughter and her new husband who reside in Tipton. Together, they found out about the vacant motel was for sale. One thing lead to another and an offer to purchase was submitted… knowing that massive amounts of work had to be done to update the motel to today’s standards. Extensive renovations were completed and Motel Tipton was transformed into a “place of comfort and pride”.

Meet the Property Managers ~ the Sutton’s

Please join us in welcoming Lisa and Eric who bring a wealth of experience and passion for hospitality to our beloved motel and the City of Tipton, Iowa.

Lisa joins us with a degree in hospitality and restaurant Management from the American Institute of Commerce. She has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having managed at variety of restaurants.

Eric, has a degree in microbiology and chemistry from Western Illinois University. He comes to us with 24 years serving as a Military Officer in the US Army. He currently works in the medical industry. He also has a wealth of knowledge with machining and maintenance management.

Together, the Sutton’s are committed to upholding the standards of excellence that Motel Tipton is known for and they are excited to meet and serve each of you.
